Signs That Scream Of Moving To A Higher Ground

Lets face it, we do not listen to each and every sign that tells us to do what is good for us. That's what makes life so challenging and thrilling at times if you think about it. However, when you keep getting the same signal over and over again from the same area, its time to make a conscious decision to make something else happen. I mean there are people who have been at the same job with the same boss for years that they loathe. There are people who have hated the same car for years and would not even dream of buying a new or even better functioning one. This is all conditioning. We have all been victim to it at one time or another. The good news is that it can end when we choose to end it and that's as deep as it gets.

A few choice emails and calls this week have made me a bit irritated on a few levels. I am calm now though, because I realize that I have grown and I have to be treated with a different level of respect. Its like the new employee at a clothing store. T…

The "N" Word Is Your Friend

There is so much controversy over this one word. It makes people do and say irrational things. It breaks up families, it sways judgement, it creates big messes one at a time, and for the most part it can be highly misunderstood. This word can be freeing and could actually help you in your day to day life. If used properly, it can change your entire life. Each time that I use this word, I feel strange and a little bit uncomfortable and I just cannot figure out why? Is it me or is it just the way that I was brought up? Why can't I just use it in a comfortable way with moderation while I am dealing with people who actually understand or can accept it? These are the questions that haunt me.

Well, you have read this far, so let me put you out of your misery. The word that I am speaking of is  "NO". Many people have such a hard time forming their mouths to make this word come out. I am one of them. There are so many things going on in each person's life as it is. Whe…

How Much Can Buy You? / $1900

This is a question that is not discussed enough. However, if you watch closely, the answer is all around you. I speak to many musicians on a regular basis. They are my friends, associates, and some that are not as close to me anymore. Within the confines of our relationships that deal with money exchange, we learn so much about people and what their ceilings are. Business is pretty straight forward for the most part. Get the best quality for the least money. But is that really a consistent and reliable model to follow? What happens when the best quality also costs more? Do you grab it or do you settle to make more money?

Then there is the question of when do you get paid? Think of all the things that you buy with your money and then ask yourself how many of those things can you get by just asking for them without paying? How many people would work for a day, two weeks, or even a month, and not be concerned about when they will be paid for their services? I would guess very few.…

Offering A Piece Of Yourself

Imagine that you have something to offer to another person. You have an idea, an extra piece of advice, a password, a route recommendation. These things are common and they happen all of the time. We give to each other, sometimes unconsciously and it feels good. These moments of giving should not deplete us, or damage us, or make us feel less than we are on any level. However, if you give to someone, something, or some situation when you are reluctant to from the beginning, it can sometimes go wrong. The fact that it could go wrong is almost always brought to our attention by our gut feelings and we usually done listen right away. I hope you are connecting with this.

Now imagine that you are actually giving a piece of yourself to actually help someone to live longer. I am speaking in the case of an actual transplant. This exactly the same kind of thing, except this is involving actual parts of you that are healthy that you agree to give to another. In this situation, you are mas…

Hidden Talents Vs. Obvious Weaknesses

I love how powerful we all are. Some of you might be asking yourself how I know that you are powerful when I may not even know you right? Well, just trust me join this one concept. There have been too many situations to name that involve people doing things that were quite frankly, impossible in times of dire need. There have also been instances of certain people falling very short of the mark or even perishing when they have had everything at their disposal. Not one person can really say that they know whats in another persons head or heart, however, very few of us are playing with our full deck on any given day. I read a passage today in "The Motivation Manifesto" that really moved me. It read as follows,"Why, when the moment arrives, do so many gasp and beg and plead for one more hand of card, as though the Dealer would keep patience for a drifter who never even fully played the cards He had already so generously dealt? I will let that marinate with you for a momen…
