The Souls Threshold

What we resist persists. What we allow proceeds. What we decide becomes a reality. These three sentences are real and they show up all over the place if we pay close attention. When you are too close to fire, you will inevitably move away from it. When you are too full, you will stop eating. When are too tired, you will sleep. All of these sentences cannot be denied.

The flip side to all of this is our souls. Be it through love, pride, disgust, or even happiness, when we are dealing with the deep internal, we tend to second guess or ignore the signals. If you are somewhere that you do not want to be, you should leave. If you are about to say something that you do not mean, stop and change it in your mind before it is set free through your lips. Our time is so valuable and precious here. If it hurts someone that you are dealing in truth, then that relationship with suffer in the future guaranteed.

Living full out is a challenge for most people. I look at those who have lived out loud and they have had many struggles because of it. The good news though, is that they are free, completely free. Not free from opposition, just free inside. Everyone from MLK to Harriet Tubman, to Steve Jobs, to Little Richard, to Barack Obama, to Lady Gaga are or have lived out loud. Playing simple, safe and within the barriers will not save you in the end. Many people that I know tell me that they love how I live out loud and do what I want to do all of the time. This is not all the way true though. I have reservations and doubts and moments of tentativeness and when I do, it stifles me. Then I ask myself, why am I stifled? The answer almost 90% of the time is that I am not being authentic with myself.

So spend time with those that add something to your life and reciprocate as well. Go places that add  to your character and that you can add to as well. Sometimes your presence alone is adding to a situation and you have no idea that its happening. Get clear and pay attention to why you go certain places and why you spend time with certain people. Life is like a fishbowl in a sense. If you continue to change to water consistently, then the fish stay happy and can eat well and breathe well. However, if the water gets too cloudy and the fish cannot see the food, they cannot eat it and they cannot live too long.

Today could be your last day on earth, you never know. Use time preciously and with purpose. If you had a choice of picking colorful and nurturing thoughts about all that you came into contact with every day, would you do it? How about the people? If you could choose the best mind's and the best attitudes to align with daily, would you? Well, let me let you in on a little secret, you do. This could not be clearer to me right now in my life. Be you, don't settle for less than what your soul asks for, and lastly, tell it like it is from your soul to your lips. The magic that come from this action is truly priceless. It's a progression at work, trust me..
