Love Fascination

We have heard the word ""love"" maybe millions of times in our lives. Here are some examples:
  • "I love you."
  • "Do you love me?"
  • "I love that car!"
  • "I am so in love with you."
  • "Love should have brought you home last night!"
  • "Love sucks!"
  • "You don't love me the right way!"
  • "Love takes time."
  • "Show me that you love me!"

Hopefully most of us were shown ""what"" it was before we actually ""knew"" what it was. When ever the word comes up or how ever it is used, it always seems to give people a pause from the inside out. It bears a responsibility that is sometimes too much for the average person to handle and only they know why at that particular moment.

My experiences with love have led me to believe that you can only recognize it if you are feeling it for yourself, which can be very telling in certain situations. Some love just to see if it will come back to them. Some love because they have always been shown love so they have no choice but to reciprocate in kind. On the other hand, some run from love because they feel inadequate. They feel that the uniform required to play the game of love just does not fit their physique. On the lowest level, some feel that love is just completely overrated and will never let it past the gatekeeper that they call their heart.

The photo above is obviously a picture of the word love in the form of an outdoor piece of art if you will. I pass this all of the time and each and every time there are lots of people sitting in front of it, taking pictures, and just connecting with it. It always gets my attention because I feel that there is a deeper meaning present than can be seen with the naked eye. Its almost as if the actual presence of the word makes all of those that pass it think about whether or not we are giving it, receiving it, or running from it. This is purely my opinion, yet, I feel that it deserves a little bit of thought at the very least.

As I took this picture, people waited patiently as those in front of them took their personal pictures and so forth. I just wanted to capture the moment in general. This sign is never without a human being next to it. Did it make me think about love in my life? Yes, it most certainly did. It happens every time that I walk past it. Words have the power to move us and it does not matter if they are written, read, spoken, or expressed. After taking the picture and walking way with a trough full of thoughts, something truly serendipitous and peculiar happened. A car pulled to the light with the radio on. Can you guess what song was playing? ""All You Need Is Love"", by the Beatles. All of the people standing there were amazed and some laughed while others sang.

Some moments are just magic, wouldn't you agree? Some times you are in the right place at the right time. Actually, you are always at the right place at the right time. It just takes a while to see it that way.....

A pleasant evening or day to you...
