I am back from a short hiatus in writing. During this time I have experienced many moments that are worthy of exposing. It is truly fascinating how we can get so involved in life that we do not take time to record it either on paper or on the screen or even in conversation with another human being. I liken it to tourists that I see here in NY that are stuck to their video cameras all day trying to get every piece of the city onto their machines and in the process miss the actual feeling of being here and enjoying it with their own eyes. I see this daily.
Over the past week or so, I have had the pleasure of being around lots of family members as one of my most treasured and unique relatives had passed away. All of my relatives are unique, by the way. Let me take that a step further, we are all unique. I believe that when someone passes we all get a swift reminder that not one of us makes it out of this production show alive. However, some of us will slide out peacefully and will have been alive up until the very last second. I can truly say that my grandmother was one of those people.
I just received a phone call from a great friend that I have not heard from on a while and she just called to say that I was on her mind and that she wanted to let me know that she was also sending me warm thoughts and blessings. These little things are what makes me write this blog and smile in the process. This special woman is a friend of my best friend and she recently had another child as well. As we shared a brief conversation a few minutes ago she said something that I loved. She made reference to some women in her life that she called "life sisters". I absolutely love that!!! These are women who are not actually biological sisters, but women who are very close and dear to her that she highly regards. That was worth the entire call without a doubt.
I will keep this light as I have truly been downloading some strong experiences over the past 10 or so days. I have been thinking about the title of this blog and I feel that I should write more frequently, as I do have the material to do so. All of the support that I have received thus far has been so incredible that it is truly difficult to express. Thank you, thank you all....
I will end with this statement that I read as I woke up today. I keep a Ask And It Is Given Perpetual Flip Calendar: A Calendar to Use Year After Year (Perpetual Calendar) on my table in my living room. Every day there is a statement to read that never disappoints me and always inspires me. This is what it said today,
"Once you are in control of the way you feel, you will enjoy it all: You will feel relief as doubts slip away and as the secure feelings of Well-Being replace them."
Create a magic day!!! It is your right.... Chase
